Mining Your Network
A Goldmine or A Black Hole?
Your contact database can be a goldmine … if you know how to mine it. Otherwise, it can be a black hole or maybe even just a pile of business cards
The database probably contains dozens – maybe hundreds – of useful contacts: current and former clients, inactive prospects, and referral sources. Are you staying in touch with your key contacts? Are you tracking your discussions and scheduling next steps?
We’ll make this easy for you.
Database Management
To manage your contacts effectively, you need a searchable database that allows you to record notes, schedule next steps and track all your business development activities. Without this, your business development effort could be an exercise in futility.
We’ll work with you to you to evaluate your database and determine whether it’s an effective business development tool. If it isn’t, we can bring a specialist to upgrade your database or create an entirely new one.
Prioritizing Your Contacts
You’ve got hundreds of contacts. How will you determine whom to contact, when, how often, and with what message?
We’ll work with you to review your contacts and identify the ones you need to stay on top of: key prospects and referral sources. Once you’ve prioritized your contacts, we’ll set a system to help you stay in touch at the appropriate intervals and with appropriate messages.
For instance, you may want to touch your top contacts monthly with a call or an email. For others, either with a periodic phone call or email or maybe only a quarterly newsletter may be appropriate.
In addition, we’ll create a telephone scripts and suggestions about what content to send.
